Failure to fill in the necessary form will result in you being charged for the sessions. For 30hrs codes, these are needed before the end of the current term, so please remember to update your codes. World Book Day: A chance for your child to join the staff by dressing up as a character from their favourite book or any dressing up will be fine for this day, a world book day token will be given to every child on this day. Committee: The committee holds monthly meetings so please try to attend as you can help make decisions on any fundraising events we could hold, where we go for trips as a group and just general decisions on dates for activities too. Facebook: Please look for us and like our page or ask to be added as I use this to send out reminders for things that are happening within Toad Hall Pre-School. Children’s Green Folders: We welcome your comments in your child’s folder - staff take great pleasure in reading your comments on your child’s progress and journey at Toad Hall. Ofsted are also interested in reading your comments when they visit our setting, so please do have a look at this page. Coronavirus : Facemasks: Please wear them at drop-off and collection times to ensure we keep everyone safe. Hand Sanitizer: Please use before entry to our room.

Welcome to Autumn Term! We have lots of new children starting with us this term and we are looking forward to getting to know everyone. We send a newsletter every term but also please read the notice board, website and Facebook and our windows for further updates. FACE MASK: If you would choose to wear one on drop off and collecting whilst inside the hall, it would be really appreciated, as staff will be continuing to wear one whilst parents are in the room. AGM: Wednesday 13th October 2021: We need a committee to continue to stay open so please join us for the AGM, more details will follow but keep the date available, you are as important as the staff in keeping us open. It will be held at Toad Hall Pre-school 7.30pm – 9pm. Nut Free Pre-School: We are a nut free pre-school, so please be aware of this when packing your child’s packed lunch. A copy of the policy is on our notice board inside on the table as you walk in. Thank you for your co-operation. Pennywell Nativity Trip: We all go along in our own transport meeting at Pennywell for 10am; a real nativity in the barn is a lovely setting, wrap up warm too. No sessions on this day. More information to follow. TBC Christmas Bazaar: A fun filled afternoon 12 - 2pm at Toad Hall inside including Santa’s Grotto, stalls, refreshments, raffle. This will be confirmed closer to the date. TBC Christmas Activities: Please be aware we may have to change some of our activities but will keep you all posted on what we decide to do this year, so please check board inside for details when we have sorted timings and days etc. Mobile Telephones: Please ensure you are not using your mobile telephone whilst inside Toad Hall Pre-school during drop-off and pick-up times. Thank You. Committee Meeting: A committee made up of current and past parents runs Toad Hall. We plan all the events and are always looking for help and/or people with relevant experience. A polite reminder when your child has been unwell: NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) guidelines state that children should not attend and school or other childcare facility while they have diarrhoea or vomiting caused by gastroenteritis. Children should not go back to school or other childcare facility until at least 48 hours after the last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting. Current guidance for Covid19 - If anyone has a high temperature they have to self isolate until they get a test and continue to self isolate until a negative test result is returned. Please keep us informed if your child has to be tested due to another family member so we can keep a trace on how this is affecting us here at Toad Hall Pre-School. Please keep wearing masks making sure nose & mouth are covered please. Dino Stomp Fundraiser: We hope you all enjoyed this activity the total raised was £1200.15, this is going to be used to upgrade the garden area. The work is starting on 5th April so should be completed on our return. Group Photo: Held at Toad Hall @ 9.30am, all children are invited to have the group photo, sessions will operate as normal, extra children can be brought in just for photo then taken away by parents. Sports Day: A fun filled few hours held at Freedom Fields Park, races start at 10.30am, so bring a picnic and a blanket, we normally finish the sports day at 1.00pm. Sunflower Fundraiser: Please watch this space for information on our next fundraiser, to enable us to buy equipment and new toys for the garden area enabling fun times for the children. More information in will be available after the next committee meeting in April. Fee Increase: In Autumn Term (September 2021) the fee per session will be £14.00p, no increase per session, lunch club fee will stay the same at £5 per day. Committee: The committee holds monthly meetings; these are open to non-committee members also, so please try to attend as you can help make decisions on any fundraising events we could hold, where we go for trips as a group and just general decisions on dates for activities too. Christmas Bazaar: Help us make this a great fundraiser by collecting bottles of anything, not just alcohol and also chocolates for this event. One item per week added to your shopping trolley, brought into us for storage helps to make these stalls a great success on the day! SO LETS START NOW – see box on table to put your bottles/chocolates in. Christmas Performance: Held on the last day of term, no sessions on this day as all the children take part in our performance, starting at approx 10.30am, lasting approx 30 mins with tea/coffee & mince pies available to purchase after the performance.
